EDHS GRAPHIC DESIGN AND DIGITAL ILLUSTRATION

The Graphic Design program is offered by North Orange County ROP and trains students in electronic layout, design and illustration as used in the preparation of web and print-ready artwork. Students learn the essentials of professional graphic design software. The graphic design process taught includes foundational principles and elements of design, concept development, color theory and typography.

Instruction includes page layout and measurements including balance and proportions. Students get to produce and assess finished mechanical artwork that is ready for print or digital production. Techniques in digital and traditional illustration will be learned in order to design logos, posters, illustrations, and a variety of promotional and advertising materials.

Work is accomplished using current graphic software and assessed to verify proficiency in skills and concepts taught.
