Would you like to be a DMAA officer for next year's DMAA Cabinet? The following positions are available: President: Run meetings, delegate responsibilities. Vice-President: Helps aid President and takes over when President is not in attendance. Secretary: Takes notes at monthly meetings. Treasurer: Keeps track of DMAA budget. Publicity: Creates notices for DMAA events and updates DMAA website. Event Coordinator: Coordinates DMAA activities and fundraisers. Senior DMAA Rep: Rally/ inform DMAA Seniors. DMAA Summer Film Workshop Registration

The time has finally arrived to sign-up for the free DMAA Summer Filmmaking Workshops. This year, they are being run from JUNE 28-30 (TUES-THURS) from 8am to 4pm here at El Dorado High School. The workshops are free, and ALL DMAA students are welcome to attend. ALL DMAA students of all grade levels are welcome to attend this workshop regardless of which area (photo, animation, video) you are choosing to specialize in. ALL ARE WELCOME. The only expectation is that those who attend are interested in participating. Workshops will be run by DMAA instructor Mark Switzer and graduates of the video production program. DMAA Students Win Awards at Courageous Persuaders PSA Contest

Two groups of El Dorado HS filmmakers won awards and scholarship money from the 2016 Courageous Persuaders PSA contest. Courageous Persuaders is a contest where students from throughout the country create and submit 30 second commercials to raise awareness about the dangers of alcohol. One group of freshmen from the Video 1 class (Aaron Blakely, Alex Zambrano, Aiden Nguyen and Jenson Jones) won the $500 Auto Trade Award for their video, “Dance Away Alcohol” The other group of students from Advanced Video (Caleb Garrett, Kyle Reed, and Katie Ann O’Keefe) won a $1000 scholarship for their PSA titled “Pajamas”.
