"An Adventure Through Bowling and Time Travel" Named an Official Selection for the Newport

Congratulations to the DMAA filmmakers who produced the short film "An Adventure Through Bowling and Time Travel" on their recent selection for the Youth Showcase at the upcoming Newport Beach Film Festival this Sunday. "An Adventure through Bowling and Time Travel" is a story about James, a quirky and awkward man goes on an adventure through bowling and time travel after a first date goes badly. The story was directed by Joseph Siroonian, written by Ashley Martinez, Brian Kluver and Joseph Siroonian, and produced by Ashley Martinez. The short film was also a selection at the Yorba Linda Film Festival and the Central Film Festival.

"Passionfruit" Selected for Newport Beach Film Festival

The El Dorado DMAA Senior Thesis Film, "Passionfruit" by Ashley Martinez '18 will be screened this Sunday, April 29th as part of the prestigious Newport Beach Film Festival. The Youth Showcase screening will take place from 12:00 pm -1:30 pm ( 1h 30m) at the Triangle Theaters. The screening is free. "Passionfruit" is a documentary about an avocado farmer who is diagnosed with Parkinson's disease that shows his passion for nature and gardening. "Passionfruit" was recently screened in February as part of the Pacifica Christian "Screen" Film Festival.

DMAA New Student Welcome Night

The Digital Media Arts Academy is rolling out the red carpet to welcome all of our new students and parents. The meeting is in the Little Theater (Gai Jones Theater) on the campus of El Dorado High School at 7pm on Wednesday, April 25th. We are looking forward to meeting all of our new students and parents.
