We’re thrilled to announce that the films, Shaped by the Coast, from Julian Bautista, Daniel Cirata, and Jace Kilbarger, and One Piece of Plastic, from Crissa Winger have made it to the Finals of the sixth annual High Tide Student Film Festival, at the Aquarium of the Pacific, on April 30th.

Congratulations to Fernando Nuñez, our DMAAStudent of the Week for 3/30-4/5! Fernando recently earned an incredible honor as his PTSA Reflections film was selected as the First Place film in California for Theme Interpretation, advancing his work to the national level of competition. Eden Mimun has been selected as next week’s DMAA student of the week for the graphic design pathway. I have noticed how passionate Eden has been about doing graphic design. She seems to really enjoy it, and always comes to class ready to get to work without distraction. Eden also as shown that she takes pride in producing her best work rather than settling for less. For these reasons I’m choosing Eden to be the next DMAA student of the week.

Carlos Ceja Andrade is the DMAA student of week for 3/9-3/15. Carlos is a standout talent whose mastery of 3D concepts is matched only by his incredible work ethic. Beyond his technical prowess, Carlos brings a leadership quality to the studio that is rare to see; he is always the first to offer a helping hand and is instrumental in keeping his teammates focused and on schedule. His passion and dedication make him a truly deserving Student of the Week.
