The DMAA Welcomes New Graphic Design Instructor, Alisa Van Vliet

Ms. Alisa Van Vliet is joining the El Dorado High School Digital Media Arts Academy as the new Graphic Design instructor. With 20+ years of professional experience in graphic design spanning packaging, print, digital media, and illustration, she brings real-world experience and a problem-solving mindset into every classroom interaction.

She has taught Media Arts, Visual Arts and AP Art History in Charlotte North Carolina, but returns to Southern California to contribute to the community where she grew up.

She believes graphic design means more than demonstrating tools. It means empowering students to discover what they are capable of — creativity, critical thinking, and communicating ideas clearly, skills that serve students far beyond the classroom.
