Haley Kim is the DMAA Student of the Week for January 5-11

Congrats to the DMAA Student of the Week for January 5-11, Haley Kim! Haley is a four-year video production DMAA student and is currently in the Honors Film and Broadcasting Class. Haley recently directed our short film entry in the Four Points Film Festival, is our Video Yearbook Director, and she produced the Holiday Special Episode of Hawk Talk. Haley is an absolute superstar in our class and is always ready to lend a helping hand to her classmates. There is no better way for the DMAA to start the new year than to honor Haley Kim as our Student of the Week! Thanks Haley for all that you do.

Photo Field Trip to Oceanside

Yesterday 60 EDHS photo students traveled to Oceanside on the Metrolink train on our first of 3 photo field trips for the 2019-20 year. We visited two museums, The Oceanside Museum of Art & the Oceanside Surf Museum. At the OMA we saw modern artist Marina Debris' work entitled "Trashionista" where she transforms trash into lovely gowns and photographs them in beautiful and unique ways. At OSA we looked at old surf photography, including an underwater camera from the 1930's and Bethany Hamilton's shark eaten surfboard. Lorely Meza, former El Dorado student and professional wedding photographer, came on the trip with us and gave us pointers about how to take better outdoor pictures and how to

Rachael Pinoliar & Tabitha Rogers are the DMAA Students of the Week for December 1-7

The DMAA co-photo students of the week are Rachael Pinoliar & Tabitha Rogers! Rabitha have been photo besties for many years. They are both super intelligent, highly creative and joined at the hip (They even had the exact same schedule last year). Both girls have had their photography featured in many art contests including Orange County Fair, Nixon Library Exposed Contest, PTSA Reflections and Yorba Linda Women's Club Art Contest. They both just recently were approached by a marketing agent Leslie Brogden at career day to be intern photographers for her company.
