REGISTERING FOR YOUR DMAA CLASSES
DMAA REGISTRATION UPDATE - 2/28/21 Registration can be challenging for students, and our Digital Media Arts Academy students often have some of the busiest schedules. Many of our students are also involved in honors, sports, music, choir, theater, and other programs at EDHS. There are so many choices and only a handful of open spots in their schedules. DMAA Graphic Design Update
EDHS GRAPHIC DESIGN UPDATE 2/28/21: Our graphic design classes have been working on a variety of interesting projects. The Digital Design & Illustration classes have designed full color t-shirts and are currently working on a direct marketing flyer for Chuck-E-Cheese. The Visual Communications classes have been creating portrait illustrations, phone App Icons, and are now working on a similar t-shirt project. DMAA Video Production Update
EDHS VIDEO PRODUCTION UPDATE 2/28/21 El Dorado’s Video Production Pathway has had a successful year so far, despite the challenges of remote school, hybrid cohorts, filming with cell phone cameras, and editing at home using a variety of different editing software. We have continued to learn the basics of broadcast journalism, narrative filmmaking and live-events videography. And most importantly, we continue to tell the stories that need telling. Danikah Poling is the DMAA Student of the Week for February 22-28
This week's DMAA Student of the Week is Danikah Poling! We love Danikah because she is not only an amazing Varsity Soccer player, but she is an exceptionally talented and creative artist. Danikah is a 4 year Digital Media Arts student pursuing the photography pathway. She was a finalist last year in the Nixon Library Exposed contest and is creating an AP Photo portfolio this year with a theme that unearths how color affects perception. James Aksel is the DMAA Student of the Week for February 8-14
James Aksel is the DMAA Student of the Week for February 8-14. James is one of the hardest working students in the Video Pathway and is always willing to lend a hand to his fellow students. He is regularly the first one to volunteer for any and all projects from Hawk Talk, to short films to live events. Peyten Pindroh is the DMAA Student of the Week for February 1-7
This week, Mr. Block has named Payten Pindroh to be this week's DMAA Student of the Week! Payten has always come to class with such a wonderful, upbeat, friendly personality. She is unafraid to speak up in class to answer questions or give a design critique. She makes it abundantly apparent that she wants to do her very best work on every project. For these reasons, Payten is this week's DMAA Student of the Week.
