Skillify Summer Workshop

This summer, students from DMAA were selected to participate in a summer workshop and a 6 month program called Skillify. Their missions is to re-define success for students by encouraging them to step out of the academic bubble and experience the real world, where your value is much more than your GPA, and your success is determined by your skills. 40 students (8 students from EDHS) were chosen for the conference at USC. They participated in 4 workshops: networking, college-level resumes, interviewing & developing skills necessary to thrive in a professional setting. Chloe Hogan said, "It was exciting to learn skills I don't usually learn in public school. I am currently searching for job shadowing opportunities with the Skillify advisors for careers in photography and medicine."http://www.skillifynow.com/
