DMAA GUEST SPEAKER (ANABEL BOYANOVA '12)
On Thursday, December 21st the DMAA will be hosting guest speaker and EDHS grad Anabel Boyanova (class of 2012) during 3rd period. Anabel was the former News Director of Hawk Talk, a photography and animation student, and an award winning filmmaker in the Advanced Video program for two years while a student at El Dorado. Here is her bio:
Anabel Boyanova is an aspiring TV producer working in the Film/TV industry. She is currently the assistant to CEO Michael London at Groundswell Productions, an independent production company. Groundswell has four shows on the air: One on HBO, THE MAGICIANS (Syfy), SNOWFALL (FX), and CHANCE (Hulu), and a number of projects in development at FX, Hulu, Syfy, Freeform, and the CW. The company also produces independent films, past credits including TRUMBO, MILK, THE VISITOR, SIDEWAYS, and THIRTEEN.
Anabel has a BFA in Creative Producing from Chapman University’s Dodge College of Film and Media Arts, where she produced award-winning short film THE WITCHING HOUR and worked on countless other productions. After graduation, she worked at top talent agency William Morris Endeavor in the Book-to-Film/TV and TV Literary departments under agents Anna DeRoy and Allysa Bauer. Anabel is originally from the beautiful Balkan country of Bulgaria, and grew up in sunny Orange County where she found her love for producing in El Dorado High School’s video production program. She lives in Los Angeles with her boyfriend Jacob and sassy German Shepherd, Vixen.
