DMAA Video Production student, Hailey Featherston '21, has been named the DMAA Student of the Week for May 27-31. Hailey is one of the most talented, hardworking, intuitive, generous and kind-hearted students here at El Dorado, and has become an indispensable part of the Hawk Talk team in the Video Production DMAA Pathway. Hailey is such an important part of everything that the video production team does, and has become a standout student leader in the class.

Congrats to the Digital Media Arts Academy Class of 2019. This week, the DMAA Student of the Week is the entire class of 2019, who gathered to present their final portfolios and receive their DMAA Medallions on Wednesday, May 22nd, to their parents, teachers and peers.

DMAA Students Recognized at PYLUSD School Board Meeting

DMAA student, Ethan Lee ’20 and his filmmaking team were honored tonight at the PYLUSD School Board Meeting. Their film, Ismétlés (which means Repetition in Hungarian) was a finalist in the Annual Chapman Holocaust Art and Writing Contest, and was also recently honored at the Los Angeles Museum of the Holocaust, as an official film selection for the museum’s film festival. Ismétlés, like all of the artwork in the Chapman University competition, was inspired by words of a holocaust survivor. Teachers, Dana Macintosh and Christine Williams sponsored and coordinated all of the entries from El Dorado students for the Chapman Contest, and Ethan made the film collaboratively with DMAA students, A

Jessa Laboissonniere '20 is the DMAA Student of the Week for May 13-17

Jessa Laboissonniere '20 is the DMAA Student of the Week for May 13-17. Jessa, an Honors Graphic Design student, has proven herself to be a highly capable and talented graphic designer. Jessa has mastered the use of Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop to produce beautiful logos and creative digital illustrations. This year, Jessa has worked with real companies and nonprofit organizations to produce actual projects, like her T-shirt design that was given to hundreds of attendees at this year's Yorba Days event. For these reasons, and more, Jessa has earned the title of DMAA student of the week

Alie Agresti is the DMAA Student of the Week for May 6-10. Alie is a 4 year DMAA Senior, is an amazing photographer, student and friend. She really works hard to create and she loves to help people. Tony Sherg '10 Wins an Emmy! #StarWarsShow

Hawk Talk just won an Emmy! Well, not actually Hawk Talk, but 2010 EDHS grad and Hawk Talk news anchor Tony Sherg and the #StarWarsShow. Congrats Tony for bringing home the first Emmy for the Hawk Talk grads!


Please be aware that the El Dorado Film Festival has moved into the Gai Jones Theater (The Little Theater) on the campus of El Dorado High School. The festival screening is still at 7pm. It is still free. And, it is still on Friday night, May 3rd at 7pm. See you there!
