Upcoming Event for Future Filmmakers - Harvard-Westlake presents WestFlix - March 18-19, 2016 El Dorado does not have an entry this year, but this is still a cool event to attend. It is free and there are two events here. The film festival is March 18 and the Day After workshops are March 19. Both events are free to attend if you go to their website and sign up. Registration Survival Guide

It is that time of year again - REGISTRATION. In the upcoming days and weeks you will be asked to make some big decisions and tell your counselors which classes you want to take next year. Which ones should you take? First of all - we recommend that you please let your counselor know that you are a DMAA student and let them know whether or not you wish to remain a DMAA student next year. Let them know this when you see them to register. Go ahead and write DMAA STUDENT on the top of your registration form just so everything is clear. DMAA students get priority registration into PHOTOGRAPHY, ANIMATION, VIDEO and DMAA core subject classes ahead of other students in the school. Now, if you'

Upcoming DMAA Guest Speakers

We have two DMAA guest speakers coming up in the immediate future. This Thursday, February 25, representatives from FIDM (Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising) will be here to present information to our students in the PAC during 3rd period. DMAA careers students should attend, and other interested DMAA students can attend with the permission of their 3rd period teachers. DMAA Filmmakers Nominated for Artist of the Year

The Orange County Register announced today that two Digital Media Arts Academy students from El Dorado's Advanced Video Production class have been nominated for the Artist of the Year Award in the category of Filmmaking. DMAA senior, Katie Ann O'Keefe, and DMAA junior, Caleb Garrett, are among the 25 filmmakers nominated for this award from throughout Orange County. DMAA Applications Deadline Approaching

The deadline to submit applications for the Digital Media Arts Academy at El Dorado High School is fast approaching. All DMAA applications are due on or before Friday, February 19th. If you, or anyone you know is interested in applying, please get your application, letter of recommendation from a mentor, and application video in order. The online application and mentor recommendation forms can be found HERE.
